Accifamily - An Ideal Complement to Group Insurance
Accifamily is an ideal complement
to any group accident insurance you may have. Consider the following:
 |
Its accidental death, loss-of-use,
dismemberment, and fracture benefits are payable over and
above the benefits paid under group plans.
|
 |
Certain group plans do not provide a lump-sump
payment in the event of accidental loss of use, dismemberment or
fracture.
|
 |
The accidental loss-of-use or dismemberment benefits can
be used to cover several expenses that disability income insurance
(partial income replacement) does not assume. For example,
a person who becomes a paraplegic as a result of an accident could
use the $50,000 (BASIC Option) or $200,000 (MACCIMUM
Option) benefit to meet the following additional expenses:
- |
adaptations to a house; |
- |
changes or adaptations to
an automobile; |
- |
expenses involved in career
reorientation; |
- |
household maintenance contracts,
etc. |
|
 |
Government plans pay benefits subject to certain conditions (for
example, occupational accidents or highway accidents). Accifamily
covers you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide.
|
 |
In addition, Accifamily provides for the reimbursement of certain
expenses that aren’t covered (or that are partially covered)
by group insurance plans:
- |
hospitalization benefit (in
addition to reimbursement of the hospital room); |
- |
convalescence benefit; |
- |
dental expenses as a result
of an accident; |
- |
treatments administered by a
physiotherapist, chiropractor, occupational therapist, podiatrist,
osteopath, audiologist, or speech therapist; |
- |
fracture benefit; |
- |
repair or replacement of glasses; |
- |
childcare expenses; |
- |
transportation expenses, etc. |
