Properly Protecting Your Automobile
Whether you own or lease
your automobile, several coverage options are available to you. We offer:
 |
collision or upset
protection (described in Coverage
B2), which compensates you for damage caused to your vehicle
in a hit-and-run, a collision with another vehicle, an overturn,
etc., with a deductible
of $250, $500 or higher;
|
 |
comprehensive protection (described in Coverage
B3), which compensates you for damage to your vehicle when there
has not been a collision (damaged window(s), theft, vandalism, fire,
etc.), with a deductible
of $100, $250 or $500;
|
 |
specified perils protection, which is more restrictive,
and insures your vehicle against specific risks that are pre-defined
in your contract, such as theft, fire, etc. This type of insurance,
which does not cover your vehicle in the event of vandalism or damage
to windows, can have a deductible
may be $100, $250 or $500.
|
In addition, regardless of the vehicle’s
age, you are required to have civil
liability insurance (described in Coverage
A). In the province of Quebec, you must dispose of a minimum of $50,000
in civil liability coverage. However, most insurers advise you to have
a minimum of $1 million to $2 million in civil liability insurance.

Our auto and home insurance products are only available
