Drug Payment Card
The drug payment card is a
computerized service that eliminates the hassle of completing and mailing
forms and the problem of forgetting and losing invoices. Deferred or direct
payment are available. In addition, this service guarantees that claims
remain confidential.

 |
Deferred Payment |
The member pays the total cost of the prescription to the pharmacist and receives the reimbursement provided for under the plan by mail or direct deposit. In addition, the member can find out at the pharmacy whether the prescription drug purchased is covered by his insurance plan.
 |
Deferred payment with accumulator:
the reimbursement is made when a minimum amount is reached (for
example, $50) or after a specific period (for example, 60 days). |
 |
Deferred payment without accumulator:
the reimbursement is made within a few days after the prescription
is purchased. |

 |
Direct Payment |
The member pays the pharmacist only the portion
of the amount not covered by the plan. The drug payment card is practical,
since the member knows whether the claim is eligible under the plan, and
it confirms the portion paid by the insurer and the amount payable by
the member.

 |
Direct Deposit of Benefits
|
Members may have their benefits deposited directly
in the bank account of their choice. They will then receive a notice of
deposit and an explanation of the amount paid.
