Plan for Students of Québec Universities (CREPUQ)

Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services is pleased to be the insurer of the group accident insurance plan for the graduate students of all Québec universities which are members of the CREPUQ and for the undergraduate students of Québec universities that adhere to this plan. As a registered full-time or part-time student, this plan provides you with protection in case of an accident while you are on the university’s grounds and when you are travelling between your home and the educational institution.

Your insurance provides for the payment of benefits and the partial reimbursement of certain fees if you suffer an accident. To find out more about the coverage guaranteed by the plan, please consult your personalized insurance certificate:

Among other things, you will find information concerning:

	the payment of benefits in the event accidental death, fracture or loss of use;
	the level of reimbursement of hospital and paramedical fees following an accident;
	emergency care covered in case of an accident outside the province of residence.

In case of accident, use the claim form (PDF – 66 KB). You can also obtain this form from the Security service of your university.

If you already have insurance coverage through an individual or group plan, or if you are covered by your parents’ group insurance plan, you must first submit your claims to this plan (except in case of death, total loss of use or accidental dismemberment). You will then be able to submit to the Québec Universities group accident insurance plan the portion of any fees that have not been reimbursed by this other plan.

Please note that this insurance does not constitute adequate travel insurance. If you need to travel, please contact an Industrial Alliance advisor to find out about appropriate coverage.
