Entry into the Auto and Home Insurance Sector

In 1973, Industrial acquires two general insurance companies: The Equitable General Insurance Company and the Société Provinciale d'Assurances générales, known today as Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance.

Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance is a direct insurer that distributes its products exclusively in Quebec and only to retail customers.
