Corporate Giving and Special Causes

Industrial Alliance views its commitment to the community as a natural extension of the very values that have allowed the Company to grow and flourish over the years. This commitment is expressed primarily through:

	Direct financial support in the form of donations or sponsorships to a number of aid and development organizations and associations.
	The volunteer participation of Industrial Alliance employees in humanitarian causes they closely identify with. For example, a number of employees: - are board members of hospital, university, community or cultural organizations, foundations or organizations - take part in organizing fundraising events - help raise funds or participate in events to finance charities

Special Causes

Although many causes are deserving of financial support, Industrial Alliance favours those that:

	aim to improve the quality of life of individuals
	favour development in the health, university education and social service sectors

As a company with operations across the country, Industrial Alliance is in step with the different communities it serves. It can therefore intervene either directly or indirectly through local organizations, wherever needs are greatest.
